myDubber
Chrome extension · YouTube · recordings and live

Watch any YouTube video in your language

myDubber listens, translates and voices the speakers in sync with the video. Each speaker keeps their own voice. Works on recordings and live streams, on your GPU or on ours.

The extension installs in Chrome on a computer.

KO → EN · dub on · 2.4 s ahead

“And this is why the whole market turned around in a week.”

How it works

Three steps, a few seconds ahead of the video

The original sound stays under the dub: music, game sound and the room are kept, only the voices change.

  1. 1

    Listen

Voices are separated from the soundtrack, speech is recognised phrase by phrase, and each speaker is told apart by voice.

  2. 2

    Translate

A language model translates with the context of the conversation, fitting each line to the time the speaker took.

  3. 3

    Voice

Each line is spoken in a voice cloned from that speaker and mixed back under the original sound, in sync.

Why myDubber

Not a voice-over. A dub.

  • Each speaker keeps their voice

Two men arguing sound like two men arguing. A streamer shouting still shouts.

  • Live streams too

News, game streams and talks are dubbed at the live edge, a few seconds behind.

  • Subtitles come with it

Translated subtitles over the video, sized like YouTube’s own captions.

  • The soundtrack survives

Music, effects and the room stay as they were; only the voices are replaced.

  • Your GPU or ours

Run it on your own NVIDIA card for free, or let our servers do it on any computer.

  • Private by design

In local mode nothing leaves your machine: no audio, no text.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

More in the documentation.

How far behind the video is the dub?
On recordings it runs ahead and plays in sync. On live streams you hear it a few seconds behind the live edge.
Which sites work?
YouTube today, recordings and live. Other sites follow through the same adapter mechanism.
Do I need an account for the local mode?
No. The Light profile runs without one; a free account unlocks Medium and Full on your own GPU.
What does “unlimited” mean on the Pro plan?
Watch as much as you like; a fair-use ceiling of 3,000 dubbed minutes (50 hours) a month protects the GPUs from automated use.
