DocumentationUsing the dub
Languages
Which languages myDubber understands and which it can dub into.
You choose two languages in the popup, under Languages: From, the language spoken in the video, and To, the language you want to hear.
The twelve languages
myDubber works with these languages:
- English
- Language
- Korean

- Russian
- Ukrainian

- Japanese

- Chinese
- Spanish
- Language
- German

Languages you can listen to
myDubber understands speech in all twelve. Dubbing into a language also needs a voice that speaks it. Today myDubber can voice:
- English, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, German and French.
Ukrainian, Portuguese, Turkish and Polish don’t have a voice yet. In the To list they are greyed out, with the reason next to them. You can still dub videos from these languages.
The To list always shows what your backend can voice right now.
Detect the language automatically
Set From to Detect automatically and myDubber works out the language from the speech itself. This is the easiest choice, and it handles videos where people speak different languages: myDubber tracks the language of each speaker separately. You see it next to each speaker in the popup’s Speakers list once it is clear.
If you know the language of the video, setting it in From can make recognition a little faster.
Change languages during a dub
You can change From or To while a dub plays. The setting applies right away, without reopening the video.
Same language
If From and To are the same, myDubber voices what is said without translating it.
Interface language
The popup itself speaks English or Russian. Choose under Interface on the Settings tab, or leave it on Auto to follow your browser’s language.
